Ever-evolving digital displays have become architectural elements, just like a window, siding or a fountain.
In view of the complexity of the technical solutions and all the interactions with the other lots such as lighting, HVAC, joinery, acoustics and considering the amounts of work to be considered, PBI has put together a service offering to integrate the design of these systems and their implementation in a framework that has proven its efficiency in management of construction operations.
Hanging a large TV on the wall is not a construction project. On the other hand, dressing surfaces of non-standard shape and size with digital displays, suspended, or mobile or in facades or in a pool become real complex works.
Once out of standard formats, display management requires tailor-made hardware, system, and software solutions. Content design obviously has the same constraints.
For example, if the operator cannot withstand the failure of these displays, redundant systems and possibly substitute content or degraded operating modes should be designed.
The design choices, but also the embodiments or the means dedicated to the maintenance and production of content are all subjects to be addressed globally.
